Worth 1000
This is Worth 1000, a website for artistic and creative people. I just used this website for a tutorial for my GDS 122 class. This website is a bit all over the place. In some spots, they have way to many boxes and columns. You cannot really keep your eyes focused on one specific thing. This website just needs an upgrade. It has really good content, it just needs a better way of displaying it.

Fighting Illini
This is the website for the Fighting Illini Athletics. The old website use to drive me nuts! I was never able to find anything because it was so cluttered. They finally redesigned it and it is much better. The layout it a lot cleaner and is more organized. They definitely need to fine tune it because I found a lot of minor flaws. For example, the photos are messed up on the cheerleading/band page. Overall it is a huge improvement form the old website.

Cream and Flutter
This is the website for Cream and Flutter, a small pastry shop and restaurant in downtown Champaign. I really enjoy the use of pastel colors in the website. Everything about it works, but everything is to big. You cannot focus on anything because either a photo or text takes over the page. It has a fantastic design, but it just needs scaled down.

Black Dog
For Project 3, I am redesigning the website for Black Dog Smoke and Ale House. This is the current website. The website is clean but it is extremely boring. There is nothing special about it. I feel with more color and more photos, it can help the website immensely.

PBS Kids
I came across PBSkids.org in Print Magazine. This website is designed very well for children. It is simple to maneuver and the bright colors make it exciting. The webpage is responsive so a child can play on the computer, tablet, iPod, or phone.

Vienna Prom
This is the website for Vienna Prom. I work at a prom store, so this is a website I see almost daily. I really do not like it. The layout it clean but there is not enough margin. The navigation bar is very squished and is too small. The picture are also way to big and are too close together. This website can use some work. But the dresses are still gorgeous.
Michelle's Bridal and Tuxedo
My post this week is the website for Michelle's Bridal and Tuxedo, my work. I have always thought this was a nice website. It has a nice clean and consistent layout and has a very good use of white space. It also uses very good high resolution pictures. The site was designed by Amy Reid Designs.
